WOW...Way too long

So sorry it has been sooo long since I have posted. My life has been crazy busy lately. I started my own little business from home. I know make and sell gift baskets. I call them Beautiful Baskets by Lora. I have been wanting to do something for awhile now that I could sell but didn't know what I wanted to do. One day I put together a gift basket for a friend's baby shower and it dawned on me that I was pretty good at it. I have always gotten pure joy out of giving gifts and finding unique ways to package them. Now I can make a little money doing that. God is soooo GOOD!! It has been going well. That has been keeping me busy along with being mommy and working at the restraunt a couple days a week. Here are a few pics of my baskets...

Kaylee update:

She turned 8 mths old yesterday. I just can't believe that I will have a 1 year old in 4 mths. Time has just flown by. I am truly loving every minute of it though. She is now crawling. Not on her hands and knees though. She does the army crawl, which of course I think is completely adorable. I had lots of fun getting her all dressed up for her first Easter. She was sooo beautiful! She is teething. Nothing has come in yet. She is not enjoying it though. Definetly a lot more cranky. Doesn't want to eat much. So it is taking a lot of patience. She is still so sweet though. She just started waving and giving mommy kisses. I am just so in love with her. Here are a few recent pics.

Kaylee all dolled up for Easter Sunday!!! My sister bought this dress for her!

So I will be celebrating my first Mother's Day on Sunday. I am looking forward to it. Although I realized the other day that saying I am a mother makes me feel old. To say I am a mom is ok but when I say I am a mother I just feel old. I am still looking forward to my first Mother's Day. I think Mother's Day will always be bittersweet for me. I am celebrating that I am a mom to a beautiful gift from God but at the same time my mom is now in heaven and I don't get to celebrate her the same way anymore. Today my sister and I went to the cemetary and planted flowers at her grave. It was our way of giving her something for Mother's Day.

Me an mom on my wedding day. June 2, 2007. I love her and miss her sooo much!
Well that is all I have for now. I promise I will try to be better at this. Hope all the moms out there have a very special Mother's Day. If you need a basket for anything just let me know. I would love to make one for you. I do ship if you need it shipped. Here is the link to my facebook page: Beautiful Baskets by Lora

Busy Busy Busy....

I feel like I am in nonstop go mode lately. We have so much going on which only means one thing...SUMMER is fast approaching! YAY!!! Last weekend I filled my schedule pretty full. Friday nigth was girls night with some of the ladies from church. Our husbands went to men's convention in Columbus so we decided to have a girl's night! Lots of fun of course! Then Saturday morning I had to be at work at 6:30 to work the machinary sale. Worked an 8 hour day and I was exhausted. I hurt all over and when I say all over, my butt even hurt. lol! I didn't know that was possible. It would have been nice to come home and relax but I had to get ready for my tastefully simple party. I just love their stuff. I had about 10 people show up. Pretty good turn out! I did pretty good. Was able to get 230 dollars worth of stuff for 90 and that included the shipping!!!!!! So after all that craziness I decided that Sunday after church I wasn't doing anything but resting. Nevin took care of Kaylee so I could get a nice long nap. He is so good to me!

This week is busy too! I have to finish getting the spare room organized and ready for Nevin's Aunt and Uncle to come stay with us this weekend. They have never met Kaylee so this is pretty exciting! Other than Nevin's sister we really haven't had house guests. I am excited! Plus Kaylee goes for her 6 month checkup. Excited to see how much she has grown but not excited for the shots.

Well I better get to it because this room is not organizing itself. lol!

It's DONE......

So, I have been waiting for this day since July. I can finally say my bathroom is DONE!!!! It has been such a slow going project! I must say, it is worth the wait. I absolutely LOVE it! Seriously, I walk by the bathroom and get all excited! It is just beautiful! My husband is so amazing. He really worked hard this last week to finish it up for me since I have a bunch of ladies coming over this weekend! He is awesome! Here are the pics!
The picture came from my dad. He got it at an estate auction and it matches perfectly!
I love the contrast we chose!
So beautiful and it was given to us! What a blessing!
The huge mirror that I love!
The new tub!

So now that the bathroom is done, our next project is the spare room! The old ugly carpet is getting tore up. Been trying to talk Nevin into this for a while so it's nice to finally be getting it done!

Kaylee update: We just had her six month pictures taken. My bro and sister in law came last Saturday and took them. We just tacked a blanket to the wall and used some props. They turned out pretty good! Here are a couple of my favs...

She is such a happy baby!

The Bathroom

Well the bathroom is really almost done. The mirror was painted and a lot of the molding was put. Just a little bit more to go. So excited for this project to be done! It looks like a totally different room. It started out with pink and brown ugly tile on the wall and a pink counter top! I love our changes. Here are a few before pics...

Busy weeks ahead....

So here we go again. I am gonna try to be good at this blogging thing. I have failed in the past but people want to know what is going on in my life and what is new with Kaylee. So I will try to keep it updated.

I got a job a couple weeks ago. I waitress a couple days a week at Kidron Town and Country. It is a pretty great schedule. I work Thursdays and Saturdays. So I am HOME the majority of the time with Kaylee. Pretty wonderful! This job is truely a blessing.

Just been busing working on the house lately. The bathroom is ALMOST complete. Just a few more things and it will be DONE! I can't wait. We have been working on it slowly since July. Then we are on to the spare bedroom. Finally getting rid of the nasty carpet in there. So the next few weekends are packed full. This weekend Val and Kevin are coming over for dinner on Friday! YAY! Love hanging out with them! Saturday Nevin will be working in the bathroom while I go off to work. He is gonna be super dad! Then next weekend He will be gone for a men's convention. I will miss him but I have lots of plans! Friday night the ladies from church are coming over while the men are gone. Saturday I work a full day for the machinary sale then that night I am having a tastefully simple party! YUMMY!!!! Looking forward to our plans but gonna be busy.

So Kaylee....she is getting so big. Almost 6 months old. Sitting up good on her own and holding her own bottle. She is eating baby food now. She likes everything we give her. I am so proud of her. She learns so fast and is so much fun. She loves watching Bella play fetch. Everytime Bella brings her toy back Kaylee just starts laughing. I love it! It is the most precious sound in the world! I am so glad that God has trusted me with her care!

Kaylee wearing my hat on the top! On the bottom sitting up all by herself. Love her smile here!
